general terms & CONDITIONS
HOME / TERMS
Last updated: 2 September 2026. Sample terms for discussion with MTSS Group Ltd — not a substitute for a signed production contract.
1. Quotes and bookings
Quotes are valid for 14 days unless stated otherwise. A booking is confirmed when we accept a written order and, where required, a deposit. Event date, venue and scope must be accurate; changes may affect price and availability.
2. Hire and production
Equipment remains our property. The client is responsible for suitable access, power and a safe working environment. Dry hire clients are responsible for competent operation unless crew are booked. Damage, loss and unreasonable delay may be charged.
3. Payments
Unless agreed otherwise, deposits are non-refundable after confirmation. Balance is due as stated on the invoice. Late payment may incur interest and pause further work.
4. Cancellation
If the client cancels, charges reflect kit reservation, crew and third-party costs already committed. Force majeure (including venue closure or severe weather that makes the show unsafe) will be handled in good faith; we are not liable for indirect losses.
5. Health and safety
Rigging, electrical and noise work is carried out to industry practice. We may stop work if conditions are unsafe. The client must disclose audience size, pyrotechnics, drones and any other hazards in advance.
6. Liability
Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise liability is limited to the fees paid for the relevant booking, except where the law does not allow that limit.
Anti-slavery statement
MTSS Group Ltd has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. We expect suppliers and crew agencies to comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015. Concerns can be raised with the directors via info@mtss.uk.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland. Courts of Scotland have jurisdiction.
